Values

In who we are,and in all we do,Beaver Baptist Church,in dependence upon God’s grace seeks to be:
A Christ-centered Church.  It is through the person and work of Jesus Christ that we come to know the Father, and it is through Jesus Christ that we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Our hearts desire is to become like Jesus Christ.  Our mission is to make Jesus Christ known to the world. Jesus Christ is the source of our life, and He is the Head of this church.
A Biblical Church.  Scripture alone has ultimate authority and sufficiency;therefore, our doctrine comes from Scripture. Our church seeks to conform to and be reformed by the Word of God. Therefore,we uphold the importance of the expositional preaching and teaching of God's word.
A Spiritual Church.  We trust in the Holy Spirit to guide and to empower the ministry of the church. When we are filled with the Spirit,He gives us a supernatural power to know and do His will,to share the gospel,to resist temptation, and to live lives that are pleasing to God. It is the sovereign work of the Holy Spirit to regenerate unbelievers, convict them of sin and and righteousness, and to bring them to a saving faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
A Prayerful Church.  We long to be a prayerful church, deeply aware of God’s call upon His people to pray and His promise to answer prayer offered in faith and in accord with His will.
A Faithful Church.  Our Lord who calls us is faithful and true, therefore,by His grace we seek to be faithful to Him. We also strive to be faithful to one another as expressed in the commitments of our Church Covenant.
A Loving Church. God is love. And he has demonstrated His love in the sacrifice of His Son,Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. We demonstrate His love in our lives by our love for Him and for one another. This must be a love, not only in word, but also in deed,as we obey the law of Christ and lay down our lives for one another.
A Gracious Church.  Because we are saved solely by grace through faith in Jesus Christ,we emphasize the proclamation of the gospel of grace. And,not only are we saved by grace, but the Christian life is to be lived by grace. We seek to be gracious to one another, and to the community around us.
A Holy Church. God's church is set apart "to be a holy priesthood,to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."Therefore we seek to be holy in all our conduct, because the God who calls us is holy. And we "strive …for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord."
A Joyful Church.  We look to Jesus “who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross.”It was so that our joy may be full that Jesus came. And our hope is to enter into our Master’s joy. Therefore we seek daily to live in the joy of our salvation.
A Koinonia Church.  We prize the fellowship with have with Father,Son and Holy Spirit, and it is the basis for the life of fellowship we have with one another,a life in which we are devoted to meeting one another’s spiritual and physical needs.
A Family Church.  We seek to strengthen marriages and families. We are called to integrate the spiritual values taught at church into our lives at home;and we are called to integrate the love and support of the family into the life of the church.  We uphold covenant marriage and family as the first God-ordained unit of nurture and instruction in godliness. In this,we seek also to uphold the sanctity of life in our culture of death. Marriage is the monogamous and lifelong relationship between one man and one woman.
A Kingdom-focused Church.  We seek to equip and educate God's people for the work of service, both inside and outside the church. We seek to know and care for the needs of people in this particular community.
